What we do
Innovation
Innovation from invention delivers capability that is exponentially greater than starting from first principles. While appreciating that invention is a key discipline, our experience has shown that starting from first principles in a commercial context often leads to a partial solution at best. In active consultation with our clients, we employ lateral thinking and our experience and awareness to fuse multiple inventions into innovative, effective, and flexible solutions. We've watched invention fail in large organisations; now we like to make things that work!
Technology
Providing awareness of new technologies is not simply a matter of information technology awareness. Technology advances across all disciplines, often providing unexpected insights to problems that exist in another domain. Our experience has shown that some of the most radically effective solutions can be derived from the strange attraction that occurs at interdisciplinary cusps. We read a lot, play a lot, and go off on weird tangents to develop technology awareness that we are not afraid of introducing to our clients!
Development
From custom software to dynamic workflows, and all points in between, development is about evolution. We are comfortable with, and thrive on, custom software development but, with years of commercial world experience, we also recognise that the technology is only one aspect of the solution. Your people need training, your business processes may need review, and - of course - the technology itself will need to adapt over time in order to support your business needs. Evolution involves everybody: that's how fish got legs!
Other Services
We have a perspective on most things. Whether you want to know about mesh networks, explore augmented reality gaming, develop applications for mobile devices, prototype a fridge powered by a vehicle exhaust pipe, build a multi-touch interface, deploy environmental sensor networks, make 3D scans using a laser pointer, process massive amounts of information, detect events across disparate datafeeds in near real time, or simply want to know what the plural of 'corpus' is, feel free to get in touch. We'd love to hear from you!
